SSMPoliceCity Police were called to a residence on Woodward Avenue early last night regarding a stabbing.  According to police, the victim had already left the area on his own to go to the hospital.  He was treated and released.  An investigation revealed that the accused allegedly stabbed the victim in the back with a steak knife.  45 year old Leonard Solomon of Woodward Avenue faces a charge of assault with a weapon.  Officers were also called to the area of Grand Boulevard and Northern Avenue about 2 intoxicated males.  The males were located and had items in their possession that did not belong to them.  Police later received a call about the two males breaking into a residence in the 500 block of Morrison Drive.  The males were found again with items stolen from the residence and a nearby vehicle.  21 year old Michael Rivers of Cambridge Place and 20 year old of Alex Panco of no fixed address are charged with break and enter and 2 counts each of theft and possession of stolen property.  All three accused are scheduled to appear in WASH Court today.

Police responded to a shoplifting call at a local grocery store yesterday.  Store security had a male in custody — it’s alleged that food items were hidden in a back pack.  The accused paid for a seperate item and attempted to leave with the hidden items.  Police arrested 56 year old Peter Zayet with theft under 5 thousand dollars.  He is scheduled to appear in court November 2nd.
