It was nearly shocking for me, to invite this guy on radio with me today.
Why?…

Things are really happening in Music City with Tyson Hanes.
Firstly, I relayed how proud I am, personally, of everything he’s done down there and will do in the future.
We spent the better part of 90 minutes, both on and off the air in my morning show and Ty got to chat with me about performing at Nashville’s Tootsies Orchid Lounge, right in the think of things
There, for those of you who might not know this, is a TOOTSIES, at Panama City Beach as well.
My folks rented a Condo on the Gulf, at PCB for years and go back often.
You used to walk along the beach with the whitest sand in the Land, down to the ‘EDGEWATER’ Hotel, where Lyd , my wife and I, have frequented.
Now, in Panama City Beach, there is a huge market and TOOTSIES venue, as well as a ‘Margaritaville Bar and Grill made famous by the one and only Jimmy Buffett.
One day, I hope to be landed there, at least to play a set out on the water, at Pier Park!
Tyson told me , he is asked to perform there a couple times a summer, so if you happen to get some time off this season, take in a show and if you find yourself at PCB…Tell Ty, Jeff recommended ya’ll stop there for a cold one or two!
Greg Ryckman has organized a shindig Friday night at the Marconi Club , 450 Albert St. as a Tribute to the Korah High Group , Mustang Sally!
Get a ticket for 10 bucks and head out and enjoy some of the musicians that started their young budding careers under the musical direction of Miss Williams , Greg Ryckman and others.
The current 2017-2018 Mustang Sally has been on a provincial tour and will be all set and pumped to play for you Friday night, as will Tyson , Marci Dama of Mustang Heart and more set to perform some songs as well.

In other great news, Tyson is half way through his studio album and can’t wait to share it with you!
It should hit shelves soon and as we discussed this morning, Ty is a ton like me and the process is very long and like me, he wants things done, like, yesterday!

Tyson joins some of the finest to grace the Soo scene and beyond the Borders, in more than 20 years of Mustang Sally and 50 years of Korah.

This is just one part of this gig that I love. To promote young talent flowing out of this community and onto the World Stage is such a buzz for me and for the teachers whom I’ve asked in the past, how it makes one feel to have an a successful Alumnus come back and pat the Prof on the back and tell them, “You are a big part of the reason I took my Music to the next level!’
