Two fires from yesterday remain under investigation.
One from last evening at a four storey apartment building on Trunk Road resulted in injuries to a lone tenant in a 2nd floor unit.
The unidentified man was taken to hospital with unspecified injuries.
His dog was brought out safely.
The fire started in the kitchen area and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal has been contacted.
Firefighters responded to the call shortly after 7 and tenants were evacuated—-it wasn’t until midnight before all were allowed to return to their units.

A dog and a cat were both rescued in a mid-afternoon fire at a residence in the 200-block of Pittsburgh Avenue.
The owner of the residence arrived home to find smoke pouring from the building and he called the fire department.
This fire also started in the kitchen area and the residence sustained heavy fire damage.
Fire fighters were at the scene for about 3 and a half hours.
