news-city of Sault, Michigan  Supplied by the City of Sault, Michigan…
Beginning Wednesday, August 3, 2016 the intersection of Bingham Avenue at Dawson Street will be closed to traffic to accommodate the connection of storm sewer as part of the CSO C-3 project. The intersection will be closed on the following days:
Wednesday August 3
Thursday, August 4
Monday, August 8
Tuesday, August 9
This intersection closure will effectively close the Bingham Avenue bridge over the Power Canal. The official detour route will be Easterday Avenue, Ord Street, and Portage while the intersection is closed but local streets can be used for access to businesses. Drivers are reminded that Lyon St. and Dawson St. are still under construction and should not attempt to use these streets as alternate routes.
Information regarding the project can be found on the City’s website at www.saultcity.com under “CSO C-3”.
The City appreciates the cooperation of all area residents, businesses and motorists during this construction activity. For any questions regarding this project please contact the City Engineering Department at 632-5730.
