“The Board is extremely happy that Mike Nadeau has agreed to lead our team into the future and through the transition to the direct provision of services.  His significant work experience along with his knowledge of our programs and staff easily make Mike the best choice.” said Gawne.

Mike Nadeau leaves his position as Commissioner of Social Services with the City of Sault Ste. Marie to oversee the DSSMSSAB mandated services which include Ontario Works, Social Housing, Community Child Care and EMS Land Ambulance.  Prior to his 3 years as Commissioner of Social Services, Nadeau spent 12 years as the Executive Director for the Ontario Native Welfare Administrators’ Association.  He possesses a Master of Business Administration with a concentration on Community Economic Development.
