I have registered  with the city clerk to make it official

This morning I followed up on my action of November 1st of announcing my intention to run as a municipal candidate for Ward 2.

I strongly believe that active participation leads to positive results. My experiance not only for 29 years as the owner operator of Northern Jeweller/ Luraygems.com but also as an organizer of the Sault Association of Ratepayers has taulght me the importance and potentials and long term benifits that community partnerships can acheive.

This fundamental truth is self evident, communications is the key to a better democracy. During the 2014 election I proposed holding regular town hall gatherings to network neighbours in the sharing of information and reach consensus on ward issues.

Developing this important tool can help to move forward ideas and solutions that better the community by ensuring that the democratic process that we are all apart of is demonstrated consistently in all aspects of our local government.

I would like to thank the ward 2 residents that supported and encouraged this action with the signed petition of nomination and look forward to the by-election campaign.

I ask for your vote and support in this election and afterwards so that together we can further efforts to grow a positive community partnership.
