a walk Station Mall
What a difference a day or two make eh?
I walked in crisp conditions to Station Mall Saturday and early this Monday morning , before the morning radio show had begun , I received an email explaining the details of THE largest Mass Shooting in US History had happened a few short hours ago, in Vegas, at a Jason Aldean concert.

I set the studio television to CNN and watched with the rest of the World, in horror, as the numbers of dead and some 400 plus concert goers, some critically, continued to climb.

The gunman, believed to be a ‘Lone Wolf’, was shooting people from a 32nd floor Mandalay Bay, hotel room, which we have learned he had occupied/ rented since September 28th. This area was scoped out by the sniper, obviously, to have a view of the Field and Concert stage.

Authorities say it will take days or more, to gain all the evidence required in this horrific case.

It was a tough go this morning for me, to stay fun and light hearted, for as a performer…on a stage , anywhere, you are there to let the people dance , smile , have fun and sing a long. Leave the venue feeling refreshed, ready to face the coming work week.
You do not anticipate family members and friends dying in the crossfire……
Life sure has changed and we have to be so aware, of our surroundings…..and even with the sharpest eye and security, it may not be enough.

Makes you think…all the meaning behind lyrics, stories behind the songs.

Hear is what Headliner Jason Aldean tweeted out last night.:

Jason Aldean Instagrammed: ”Tonight has been beyond horrific. I still don’t know what to say but wanted to let everyone know that Me and my Crew are safe. My Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved tonight. It hurts my heart that this would happen to anyone who was just coming out to enjoy what should have been a fun night. #heartbroken #stopthehate”
