The enrolment numbers for the Algoma District School Board came in better than expected at both the elementary and secondary levels and as a result administration has added 7 classes across the Board.
Trustees with the Board were presented the numbers at last night’s meeting and were told that the JK to grade 8 enrolment is currently over 62-hundred—an increase of 195 students from the projected enrolment numbers from April.
It also represents an increase from last year’s actual enrolment level.
The Board had also projected that the secondary enrolment level would drop below 3-thousand—-it didn’t.
There are 3-thousand-45 students registered—88 higher than projected but slightly below last year’s actual enrolment level.
