And then I grew THESE…more than a ‘pair of pears’….. as we search for the perfect pear jam recipe.
Jeffrey Jr , when very small, (So was the front year pear tree I had just planted) broke the wee trunk in two, as the tree grew..it was like the Lone tree tricked itself into pollination as if there were a Pair of Pear trees.
Low and behold as the pic shows, the crop was amazing from this now big front yard Pear tree!
Yesterday, I shook the thing and needed my bike helmet so as not to suffer a concussion from the big Pears dropping from the sky!

And in other news……I thought the 2017 Emmy telecast was very funny and super creative. Steven Colbert was superb.
