Personal median incomes in Sault Ste. Marie rose more than 10% in the latest census data released by Stats Canada yesterday.
The median income increased by over 3-thousand dollars or 10.5% in the 2016 census compared to 2011.
Median income for households came in at almost 62-thousand dollars which is 9.4% higher than five years ago.
There’s a fairly wide gender gap as the median male income came in at over 40-thousand dollars—-51% more than the median income of females in the Sault.
