Constitutional video available on Sault Tribe website Features Congressman Tom Cole and Sault Tribe Chairman Aaron Payment on tribes and the Constitution

— “We the People … The U.S. Constitution and You” may now be viewed on the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians’ website, www.saulttribe.com. The DVDs are produced in each congressional region with local representatives and issues of importance to that region.

The regional DVD sponsored by Sault Tribe includes a segment on the unique treatment of American Indian tribes in our Constitution, explained by the only enrolled tribal member in the U.S. Congress, Congressman Tom Cole.

With a special introduction by Sault Tribe Chairman Aaron Payment, November — Native American Heritage Month — is the perfect time to view “We the People … The U.S. Constitution and You.” Produced by the Committee for Citizen Awareness, the DVD explains principles of the Constitution and how it affects the lives of Americans. Narrated by Caroline Kennedy, the DVD not only helps make the Constitution relevant for students, it provides discussion questions for the classroom.
