SSMPoliceCity Police made an arrest after a traffic stop overnight Thursday.  Officers were performing routine patrol just after 2:30 when they observed a small SUV travelling northbound on Pim Street.  The vehicle did not stop despite police turning on the lights and sirens.  The suspect vehicle continued to travel north on Great Northern Road and turned onto Laurentian Drive and continued southbound on Willow Avenue before stopping in the area of the Cambrian Mall.  The vehicle driver avoided at least three stop signs.  It’s alleged that speeds of up to 120 kilometres were reached during the pursuit.  The female driver was taken into custody without incident — a small quantity of cocaine was located on the suspect.  32 year old Julie Kelly of no fixed address faces various charges including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and theft under 5 thousand dollars in connection with a theft from the LCBO on Great Northern Road earlier this year.  Kelly appeared in Bail Court on Friday.

Police also charged a man after locating him on Friday.  The accused — 23 year old Taylor Dow — failed to appear in court on a charge of breach of probation earlier this month.  Dow was located on Albert Street East on Friday.  He will appear in court on December 21 to faces charges of failing to attend court and breach of probation.
