City police say one of their officers was head butted when attempting to arrest a 23-year old man Saturday morning.  The officer received minor injuries.  It’s reported that the incident began when the accused broke a window and damaged three doors at his residence where he resides with his girlfriend.  He is also facing a separate charge of assault for reportedly pushing his girlfriend—she was not injured.  When officers caught up with the accused away from the residence, it’s reported he provided a false name and then tried to flee—he was apprehended after a short chase and it was at that point the officer was reportedly assaulted.

Two suspects were reportedly scared off by a neighbour during an attempted break in to a residence in the 22-hundred block of Baseline mid-afternoon yesterday.  It is further reported that the two were in an 90’s model blue vehicle with a loud muffler and they were both wearing toques and bulky clothing.  Entry was not gained, however a door to the residence was damaged.

Yesterday afternoon a residence was broken into in the 17-hundred block of Third Line west as a Toshiba 42-inch flat screen TV, change and a Samsung flip phone were reported stolen.
