City Police news release…
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is currently in the process of developing our next Business Plan.  Part of the process of completing the plan involves information obtained from a survey.  The survey will be conducted by Oraclepoll Research Limited.  A number of local residents, businesses and community groups will be contacted at random and asked to take part in the survey.
You will be contacted by phone by Oraclepoll and you will have the option of completing the survey over the phone or online.
The survey is designed to ask a variety of questions ranging from rating past police service experiences to specific concerns in the community.  Oraclepoll will not be asking participants for any personal information or personal security questions.  All information that would identify a survey participant will be kept confidential.
As with anything if you are unsure of the person contacting you, ask questions to clarify.  Don’t forget you can take the survey online by asking Oraclepoll if you are not comfortable speaking over the phone.
If you are still unsure, please contact Constable Henry Jin from Planning and Research at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service ext 335 to verify the source of the survey.
The resulting poll will be used to help the Police Service establish performance objects and strategies that will build the framework for policing in our communities for the next three years.
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service encourages anyone who is contacted to participate in the survey.  The input from our citizens is paramount in developing a business plan for the communities we serve.
