I turned the frown upside down on the radio morning show when I saw in my research that this was indeed, “National Beer Day!”
So join me in a toast and a cheers as we have a couple beers!!!!!!
Here are the facts we’re following on this splendid day to celebrate one of the most enjoyed bevvies!

National Beer Day 2017

Beer Run

A survey by Nielsen reveals that beer is the number one beverage choice for North Americans (55%.) Other findings:

– 29% of people love craft beer.

– 23% of people love imported beers.

– 46% of women say wine is their favorite drink.

Beer Belly: According to a Prudential Insurance survey, men spend an average of $40 a week cultivating their beer bellies. The company interviewed 2,000 men and found that 5% of their take home pay goes to buying beer.

Tastes Great Less Filling: Researchers at Granada University in Spain have found that drinking beer after working out can be beneficial for the body. Professor Manuel Garzon, who led the study, says beer helps dehydrated people retain liquid better than water alone. The bubbles in beer quench thirst while the carbohydrates make up for burned calories. This is the second study to confirm such findings.

Breakfast of Champions: Sweden’s Snask and Pangpang Brewery has created a new beer that’s meant to be consumed in the shower. Shower Beer is a pale ale that comes in six-ounce bottles. It contains 10% alcohol.

Hangover-Free Beer: Elite Daily claims a Dutch brewer, named Thomas Gesink, has created a hangover-free beer. It contains 4.5% alcohol by volume and is packed with vitamin B12, ginger and willow fibers to ward off hangovers.
