The Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club is pleased to announce today that forward TIM GETTINGER has signed an entry level deal with the NHL’s New York Rangers.

Originally drafted in the 5th Round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, Gettinger later attended the Rangers 2016 Training Camp before returning to the Hounds.

“It’s every players’ dream to be able to sign an NHL contract and today is a dream come true.  This is something I’ve been working towards and it’s amazing to get the chance to sign with the Rangers.  It’s a very special day for my family and I” stated Gettinger.

The North Olmsted, OH product is currently in third season with the Greyhounds and is having a career-season.
Through 60 games played the 6.06, 220-lb winger has surpassed both his goal and point totals from last season sitting with 30 goals and 22 assists, good for 52 points.

“The Greyhounds have done everything for me. Coming here as a 16 year old and not knowing what to expect everyone has helped me along this path. The organization has had a huge impact in making me the player I am on the ice, but more importantly the person I am off the ice today” commented TIm.
