OPP haven’t said when Highway 69 is expected to reopen after a fatal crash last night, south of Britt…that involving four vehicles.

A tractor trailer carrying livestock was southbound around 9:20pm when it struck the blade of an oncoming snow-plow.

The rig then hit a northbound mini-van and a transport carrying vehicles.

Both tractor trailers struck a rock cut and burst into flames.

Five people in the mini-van suffered non-life threatening injuries…and the driver of the first truck -with the livestock- was killed.

Highway 69 is closed from Key River (at Highway 522) to Parry Sound (at Highway 124), with a detour available for smaller vehicles, but transports are stuck at the closures until the road reopens.
