Those behind the ARCH hospice capital campaign will be counting on community generosity in carrying them to their end goal of securing 3-million dollars to allow for a 48-hundred square foot addition.
The campaign received a boost this week with word they had secured one-million dollars in support from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation.
ARCH Executive Director Theresa Mudge says community support has provided a further one-and-a-half million dollars leaving them a half-million dollars short.
Mudge says they are looking to touch more lives with this expansion…

Mudge talks about the improvements for paediatric services which were first introduced in May of 2015…

The larger facility will accomodate a children’s playroom, a wellness area and a counselling room for patients and families.
The project is expected to help serve more than 500 additional residents and create five full-time jobs and three part-time positions at the Sault facility.
It’s hoped construction can begin in 2017 and be completed in 2018.
