The Sault Ste Marie Police Service has received complaints with regards to motorists proceeding southbound on Pim St between MacDonald Ave and Wellington St E, while that portion of the roadway is closed as per the news release issued by City Staff on April 30th. Motorists are reminded that if they disobey the partial road closure as barricaded and signed, that they could be charged with “DRIVE A VEHICLE ON A PROHIBITED STREET MARKED BY BARRICADES AND SIGNS”   contrary to Section 29 of Sault Ste Marie Bylaw 77-200.   Original Release-April 30, 2015 Pim Street will be closed to south bound traffic from MacDonald Avenue to Wellington Street East for a period of three (3) days, beginning 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 6.

The closures are necessary in order for the Public Works and Transportation Department to perform a sanitary sewer repair.
