BudgetSavings2Algoma-Manitoulin is benefitting from Northern Ontrio Heritage Fund money.  The goal is to help create innovative new business opportunities in the region.  Eight projects in all will share 230 thousand dollars.  The project shares range from 45 thousand will go to the Manitoulin Wind and Solar Institute in M’Chigeeng First Nation for a feasibility study of assembling solar-powered generators to 11 thousand dollars to complete a community economic development plan in Killarney.  Projects in Billings Township, Wawa, Dubreuilville, the municipality of Gordon-Barrie Island and Blind River will also share in the NOHFC funding.
