Apparently , the cost of getting married..could lead some of us into Bankrupcy..Or at least put us into eternal debt…

A new study by TheKnot.com reveals that the average wedding now costs $31,213. That’s up 4.5% from last year. Other findings:

– the average wedding guest will spend $673. That’s up 14% from last year. The attendees’ cost includes airfare, hotel, dining out and clothes

– the average member of the bridal or groom’s party will spend $701. That’s up from $618 last year

– the bride’s parents pay for 43% of the wedding while the bride and groom pay for another 43% of the bill. The groom’s parents pay for 12% of the wedding bill

– the average wedding now has 136 guests

– most expensive city to marry: Manhattan, $76,328.

– least expensive state to marry: Utah, $15,257.

– most popular month to get married: June followed by October.

– most popular month to get engaged: December.

– average length of engagement: 14 months.
