Cloverland Electric Cooperative announced the results of the director elections at its Annual Meeting of the Members on the evening of June 11.

Cloverland is democratically controlled by its members and is governed by nine directors elected by and from the members of their respective districts to serve a three-year term of office. One seat is up for election in each district each year. Voting took place by mail-in ballot which concluded on May 29.

Incumbent director Richard J. Newland of DeTour Village was re-elected in District A receiving 573 votes. District A is also represented by directors Dale Carlson of Stalwart and Gerald Nettleton of DeTour Village.

Charles F. Litzner of Sault Ste. Marie was re-elected in District B with 691 votes. Carmine J. Bonacci, Jr. received 575 votes, followed by Patrick K. Egan with 302 votes. Litzner joins John Sawruk of Sault Ste. Marie and Robert Schallip of Neebish Island in representing the members of District B.

In District C, Ronald D. Provo of Manistique was re-elected with 645 votes. This district is also represented by Peter Legault of Engadine and Virgil Monroe of Manistique.
