ForestFireThere are four forest fires burning in Northeastern Ontario.  That according to the latest MNR fire update.  Three of the fires are being observed in the far north.  The fourth blaze — Cochrane 11 — is not under control and is one hectare in size.  Most of the northeast region is under a high fire hazard.  As a result, people are being reminded to exercise caution when enjoying fire-related activities.  The MNR has sent 42 personnel to the Northwest Territories to fight fires there, just as a deployment of resources in Alberta is wrapping up.  This includes FireRanger crews, an agency representative and a Fire Behaviour Analyst.
