APHAlgoma Public Health has issued a swimming advisory for Mark’s Bay South beach on Airport Road.  The advisory was issued after test results from water samples taken this past week showed that they exceeded the Health Ministry’s bacteriological guidelines for safe swimming.  This means the beach may have been unsafe for swimming at the time the sample was collected. Swimming advisories let people know about the water conditions the day the sample was taken — in this case on July 7th.  They do not necessairily mean that the affected beach is closed.  Updated information on beach warnings and postings can be found on the APH website.
