ForestFireFour new fires were reported in Northeastern Ontario by the MNR.  There were 16 active fires in the region as of late Tuesday afternoon.  Sudbury 38 remains out of control at 438 hectares, but is 25 percent contained thanks to rain fall over the last two days.  An Emergency Area Order around Sudbury 38 remains in effect.   Elsewhere, North Bay 13 was not immediately under control at a third of a hectare in size. The fire hazard is primarily low in the Northeast with the greatest risk of forest fires in the Sault Ste. Marie to Greater Sudbury area and Algonquin Park.  Those areas are under a moderate hazard.
