AlgomaUniversityTwo major scholarship winners at Algoma University this past week.  Madeleine Brodbeck is the recipient of a Natural Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada scholarship worth 17 thousand 500 dollars.  She was awarded for her work — her fourth year honours Psychology thesis that examined the difference between the attention spans on video game players and non-gamers.  The second winner is Victoria Foglia — who received an Ontario Graduate Scholarship worth 15 thousand dollars.  Foglia was rewarded for her fourth year Psychology thesis, that examined which mode of communication humans can best detect when being lied to.  Brodback will begin her two year Masters of Science in Psychology at Western University in London this fall, while Foglia will attend Laurentian University in Sudbury for her two year Master of Arts in Experimental Psychology.
