CitySSMSault Ste. Marie has a new Chief Administrative Officer.  Council voted unanimously at a special meeting on Monday night to approve the choice of Albert Horseman as the CAO for the city.  Horseman comes from Guelph, where he had been Deputy CAO since last November.  He had been in Guelph since June of 2012 when he served as Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer.  Prior to their unanimous decision to approve Horseman last night, councillor Susan Myers described the selection process as ‘challenging’.  Ward 4 Councillor Lou Turco added that this was an important process for the City of Sault Ste. Marie.  Horseman has had previous CAO experience – in the City of Kawartha Lakes for one year starting in June 2011.   Most notably, he served more than a decade as a Senior Manager of Financial Planning for the City of Toronto.
