SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – JETA Corporation, a multi-million dollar business, would like to invite the community to the grand opening of their Michigan office on Monday, Jan. 14.

JETA Corporation has grown to be a major supplier for the energy, nuclear, construction, and industrial markets since 2004. Headquartered in Neenah, Wis., the business has a satellite office and warehouse in Nipomo, Calif. Owner and CEO of JETA Corp., Sault Tribe member Linda Grow, and her husband and VP of Sales and Marketing, Thomas Grow, were approached by Sault Tribe EDC Director Joel Schultz, who sold Grow on the benefits of opening an office on tribal land.

Grow plans on bidding on energy contracts currently supported by vendors outside of the United States and bringing that business home to the Sault and her newly hired staff. Thomas Grow said the ultimate goal is to develop a distribution organization in the Sault with a warehousing plant, which would help support some of the utilities in lower Michigan, generate job growth in the Sault by hiring mechanical contractors and support local small businesses.

The newly renovated 3,503 sq. ft. office complex, now called Tamarack Business Center, is located at 531 Ashmun St., right next to the tribe’s downtown Administration Building and will comfortably house 20 people. Two additional tribal member owned businesses have also committed to lease agreements for office space in the new business complex.

Grow said the opening of their Michigan office is the result of months of in-depth exploration and planning. The support of Michigan’s Economic Development Corporation and the Sault Tribe Board of Directors were a major factor in her decision to open a new office.
