There were two all-candidate-forums at the Marconi Hall yesterday, organized by Steelworkers Local 2251 … and incumbent Conservative MP Bryan Hayes failed to attend either.   Liberal challenger Terry Sheehan says in a release that ‘that was shameful’ … feeling it’s further evidence of the Harper government discouraging it’s candidates from attending debates, or taking calls from the media.  Infact, Harper did not allow any questions from the media during his stop in the Sault.  The Chamber of Commerce is putting on a televised debate the middle of this month and we will be contacting all candidates with a series of questions during the campaign as well.
In the meantime New Democrat Skip Morrision received the endorsement of 22-51 yesterday.
