LAKE STATE PRIDE - Lake Superior State University student Rachel Rowswell holds a citation for one of only 20 fellowships awarded worldwide by Sigma Beta Delta, an international honor society for business, management, and administration. Upon her induction into LSSU's chapter last spring, Rowswell was nominated for the honor by marketing professor Valerie Philips, who holds the citation's cash award worth $1,500. Standing with Rowswell and Philips on the construction site of R. W. Considine Hall - which will house LSSU's Lukenda School of Business in the fall of 2016 - are David Roland Finley, dean of the College of Business and Engineering, and Marcia Jenkins-Ball, a School of Business executive assistant who assisted with the fellowship application process. Rowswell is a senior from Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., with dual majors in communication and business administration/marketing.
