On September 15, 2016 at 3:50am police received a report that a cab driver in the area of Albion St. had been robbed by a male who produced a black handgun and demanded money. The area was contained and a K9 track was initiated. With the use of the K9 and the assistance of witness officers located the accused 19 year old Cody Dunn of Great Northern Road hiding in a residence. The accused was taken into custody without incident.
Further investigation by the Criminal Investigations office and the Break and Enter Unit determined that the accused was also the suspect that had committed the armed robbery on September 12th at the Mac’s Mart on McNabb St using a butcher knife.
The accused has been charged with robbery while using a firearm, robbery while using a weapon, pointing a firearm, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and two counts of breaching his probation order.
The accused appeared in bail court on todays date.
