Sault Ste. Marie, ON (2018 09 27) – The City of Sault Ste. Marie is administering the 2018 election of school trustees for the Algoma District School Board, the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board, le Conseil Scolaire de District Catholique du Nouvel-Ontario and le Conseil Scolaire de District Du Grand Nord de L’Ontario in the unorganized areas in Algoma District.
This election is being conducted by mail. Ballots were mailed to qualified electors on Monday, September 24, 2018. Electors will receive a ballot, an inner ballot envelope, a voter qualification declaration and a prepaid business reply envelope.
Please return your ballot and declaration in the mail by October 12, 2018. After October 12, envelopes can be delivered to the Sault Ste. Marie City Clerk’s Office, Level 4, 99 Foster Drive, Sault Ste. Marie. The office is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. On Monday, October 22 the office is open to receive ballots between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.
You can check to see if you are on the Voters List for the election of school trustees in the unorganized areas of the Algoma District by visiting saultstemarie.ca/SchoolTusteeElection. If your name is not on the list you can use our online tool to request to be added.
If you are a qualified elector and you do not receive a Vote by Mail Kit or if your kit is lost or destroyed, you may be issued a new kit. Please contact us at election@cityssm.on.ca or at 705.257.5957.
