As restaurants and bars will be allowed to serve sit down customers outdoors on patios as of Friday in Ontario, city council has approved measures that will better support the hard hit sector.
Part of those meauses that council agreed to last night will allow seasonal patios to occupy up to 25% of parking lot spaces to help make up for lost capacity restaurants are facing during the pandemic.
Also all fees for patio approvals will be waived for the balance of the year.
The new measures fall in line with new provincial regulations for patios.
