Country 104.3 is looking for someone to fill the ultimate summer job! And by Ultimate Summer Job we mean drive around in our summer cruiser and attend all the hottest events and concerts in and around the Soo this summer!

If you have a positive, outgoing personality and love being the center of attention, then this could be your dream come true!  As our Summer Cruiser you’ll make sure Country 104.3 is everywhere!  You will insure that our Cruiser sponsors are well-represented on-air, on-line and through social media.

This is a temporary position with 20-30 hours per week running from May until early September. The majority of events you’ll be covering are on weekends but you’ll also need to be flexible to cover weekday and evening events as required. Previous broadcast or related experience is an asset but not required. A valid Ontario Full G driver’s license is required. Resumes can be emailed to gary.creighton@rci.rogers.com
Responsibilities:

  • Engage listeners and clients at various community and station sponsored events
  • Perform live on-air cut-ins at community events and station promotions
  • Be a social media whiz! Help build our engagement on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Execute on-site promotions, including set-up of various signage, prizing, equipment, and driving of branded vehicles
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with community and non-profit groups
  • Maintain promotional signage, equipment, station vehicles and storage area
  • Attend and participate in meetings as required
  • Provide regular event feedback, including post-event wrap up reports

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of the Soo and area
  • High-energy, outgoing and eager to initiate conversation
  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Independent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Must be able to work weekends, events and holidays occasionally on short notice
  • Experience with video editing software, Photoshop an asset
  • Full G license (mandatory)
