A new four-year deal is in place for public health nurses and nurse practitioners at Algoma Public Health.
The Ontario Nurses Association which represents over 50 members at Algoma Public Health says the new deal includes wage increases, improvements in benefits and non-monetary gains.
The deal is retroactive to April 1st 2017.
Both members of the ONA and the employer ratified the new deal within hours of reaching the last minute settlement yesterday afternoon.
Both sides were in a legal position to force a work stoppage as of today if negotiations were unsuccessful—a mediation session was held yesterday.
