SO, oh boy! What a weekend for this radio guy!

How do you fit 6 months worth of public duties into 24 hours? Very carefully and well thought out.

I had the honour of singing at the Soo Greyhounds game Saturday evening…..Sporting a Greyhounds scarf given to me from my amazing next door neighbour Carol….Saturday would have been her deceased hubby Frank’s 84th birthday. They were together for 38 wonderful years. I had Carol beside me with Lyd. It was amazing and exciting and very emotional all at the same time!

So, I had been to’ La Taverna’ at the Marconi Club to set gear up in the 105 year old establishment that day as well, at 4pm for ‘The Jeff and Jeff Show’.
We sound checked and the patrons did NOT want us to leave.
Said we’d be back at 830, to jam for a night of singing and dancing.
When we arrived back at the Club, the same dudes were in the same spot and commented, Now you look sharp..Have a great night!’
It was a slow start but the Soo Greyhounds game ended and some of the hockey fans showed up to cheer on another Soo team. US!!!!!
2 amazing couples danced as we played. I wanted to watch them and not pay attention to singing, however, I realized, I had to focus on keeping the beat going…as we Don’t Have A Drummer! LOL

After settling in at the McNeice Ranch after 1:00am…I ate some soup and was over to open Toystock Sunday along with Soo Transit and The Stuff a Bus for Christmas Cheer!

Greg Simpson and his staff did a stunning show, which was bulging at the walls in the Grand Gardens North facility.
TOYSTOCK gave away a drum kit that was used on stage for the bands, to a less fortunate individual in our community, as well as a mini kit and air brushed guitar as some of the amazing door prizes!

Then , exhausted and feeling grateful , it was tv time with the Argos and Stamps!
The icing on the cake for me, being a huge ARGONAUT Fan ad Toronto native…The Grey Cop Champs would be the TO ARGOS in a snow filled nail biter.
It came down to 3 points for the win…and an array of Calgary mistakes…Always remembered my dad’s words growing up playing Flag Football, ‘Keep both hands on the football!’…
That rule sure rang true as the ball was dropped and T.O took over!
