BUMPER CROP OF TOMATOES!

So I snapped this pic of the ‘bumper crop of tomatoes’, from the garden this season!
The rain we have received has kept the PUC bill of water usage down right? SO that’s one positive from it all.
September is supposed to be incredible for us in Ontario according to David at Environment Canada who says temps will be above the seasonal norms, to help make up for this soggy unpredictable summer season!

The Life saving efforts in Texas is truly amazing as they are over 3,000 lives saved, rescued.
The Governor and Mayor of Houston says they fear there at more than 1,000 stranded this hour.

The Hurricane Harvey, that was downgraded to a Tropical Storm, is now collecting strength in the Gulf and has sights on re- entering the Texas area already hit, while it has New Orleans set to take it on as well.

We can expect a risk of t- storms this afternoon and showers for Wednesday , here in the Soo.

I applaud the incredible efforts of first responders down in Texas today. Some have been at it around the clock, exhausted, with only a couple of hours off, then back at the rescue effort.
We are witnessing the heroes from the Houston area and folks are arriving from all over the State, US and other regions to aid in rescue attempts.
In all of the tragedy and strife , there continue to be stories that will bring you to tears.
The Facebook and other social media pleas, which result in happy endings, like Otis the dog, reunited with his owner, due to social media pics and posts.
Or the nursing home, filled with folks up to their bellies in water, rescued from their flooding residences.
Or the young man who walked 12 miles back to his hometown to find no family or friends there.
He would later be connected with his father through the use of a phone that CNN reporters had with them to cover the story of the Hurricane.
The real time images are startling to say the least.
We wish all the people of the great state of Texas, our heartfelt prayers.
