Both the participation and employment rates have dropped in the latest jobs report for Sault Ste. Marie from Stats Canada.
The participation rate which measures both those employed and those unemployed but actively looking for work came in at 55.6% last month—-which is down 2% compared to the same month a year ago.
The employment rate came in at 52.8% last month—-down 1.4%.
