City police news release…
On Friday February 17th, 2017 officers with the Criminal Investigations Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 24 year old Cody Quesnel for one count of First Degree Murder as a result of the ongoing investigation into the homicide of Jacob Davey on January 14th, 2017.

It is also alleged that on January 14th, 2017 the accused assaulted a male and female known to him by punching them in the face.  The accused further threatened to kill 2 females known to him, and forcibly confined them in his residence at 112 Wellington Street West in Sault Ste. Marie.

Mr. Quesnel has now been charged with one count of First Degree Murder, 2 counts of assault, 2 counts of forcible confinement, and 2 counts of uttering threats.  He is scheduled to appear in bail court today.
