Snowfall Leads to Impassable Hills in the City

Driving conditions became so bad in the city yesterday, that city police advised that certain areas became impassable in the early afternoon due to heavy snowfall.
We were hit with another 15.5 centimetres of snow and three local hills became impassable—-Bruce Street, North Street and 2nd Line east.
Highway 17 north from Batchewana Bay to Wawa was closed late yesterday afternoon and wasn’t reopened until late last night due to snow squall activity.
A snow squall watch remains in effect for our area as more snow is on the way tonight with fairly strong winds.
