Ontario’s NDP Leader Andrea Horwath paid a visit to an elderly Sault Ste. Marie woman yesterday morning to hear her concerns directly regarding electricity costs.
Horwath is gathering feedback to take back to the Legislature including that from 79-year old Sharon Hill who tries to makes ends meet at her East Balfour home as she stretches her fixed income pension to meet ever rising electricity costs—that includes  putting off the use of appliances were possible to off-peak hours and to shut off heat in rooms that are not being used.
Horwath says cost saving provincial programs are having very little impact…
