Fatal Accident on Highway 17 in the Batchewana Bay Area

OPP have confirmed that one person was killed in last night’s accident on highway 17 north in the Batchewana Bay area.  The accident involved a pickup and a tractor trailer and police say a male who they have not identified at this point was killed.  The highway at the accident scene and north to Wawa was closed for a good part of last evening and well into the morning.  It was reopened around 4 this morning after being closed at around 8 last evening.
