Sault Ste. Marie, ON, The City of Sault Ste. Marie would like to advise residents of schedule changes for Remembrance Day operations.
The following facilities and services will be closed Friday, November 11:
Cemetery office
Centennial Library and Churchill and Korah branches
Children’s Centre ¡V Jessie Irving
City Landfill site and Household Hazardous Waste Depot
Civic Centre
Ermatinger¡EClergue National Historic Site
Essar Centre office and box office
Public Works office. For 24 hour emergency service requests, call 705.759.5201.
Sault Transit office
Seniors’ Centres (Drop-In and Steelton)
Refuse & Recycling ¡V No collection November 11. Collection for the balance of the week will be one day late.
The following facilities and services will operate Friday, November 11:
John Rhodes Community Centre Pool is open for daytime lessons and swims. Evening lessons and swims are cancelled due to a swim meet.
The Essar Centre, John Rhodes Community Centre arenas, McMeeken Centre and the Northern Community Centre are open for scheduled events.
Regular transit and Parabus will operate as usual. There will be free transit service November 11 from 9:45 a.m. ¡V 1:45 p.m. to accommodate persons attending Remembrance Day services at the Essar Centre. At 11 a.m. City buses will pull over to observe one minute of silence. For more info, call Sault Transit at 705.759.5438.
The November 11 Remembrance Day Ceremony will be held at the Essar Centre beginning at 11 a.m. ¡V the public is asked to be seated by 10:45 a.m.
