Dr. Ben Toll is a political science professor at Lake Superior State University and he talks about what he is expecting in terms of voter turnout for today’s US presidential election…

In the last election in 2012, voter turnout in Chippewa County which has traditionally voted Republican was 60%.
Historically the Upper Peninsula has voted Republican while the State of Michigan overall has voted Democrat.
Dr. Toll is expecting a late night guessing that we probably won’t know who wins until around 11:30.
He talks about what’s key to watch for tonight…

Dr. Toll says the other states Trump has to win to have a chance is both Florida and North Carolina.
Voters in Chippewa County will also be voting for a new congressional representative in the 1st Congressional District of Michigan—it’s an open seat as incumbent Dan Benishek decided not to seek another term.
The Republican candidate is retired Marine Lieutenant General Jack Bergman who faces Democrat Lon Johnson.
