Making Budget Pitches at a Special Budget Session of Council

City council will be holding a special budget meeting this afternoon as it hears from a number of local boards, levy boards and outside agencies the city helps fund.
The meeting which will get underway at 4:30 will be more of an information meeting as council will hear presentations from the different organizations.
The levy boards to make presentations include Algoma Public Health, the Social Services Administration Board, and Conservation Authority.
The local boards to be heard from include the Public Library and Sault Police Service and the outside agencies include the EDC, Innovation Centre and Algoma University.
