The puck drops on the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge this week involving a field of eight teams which includes teams from Finland, Sweden, Russia, the Czech Republic and the US.  Canada will have three teams involved and action gets underway Sunday at noon at the Essar Centre with Canada Red up against Finland.  The quarter finals get underway November 3rd and the gold-medal game a week tomorrow with television coverage from TSN for the title game.  The tournament provides a significant financial boost to the host city as the 2014 tournament in Sydney, Nova Scotia generated 2.6-million dollars in economic activity.
