Former Sault Resident and Entrepreneur Scott Irwin Demonstrates the new IC-2 Machine to media, EDC and city officials

Marie.  Scott Irwin has spent the past 15-years developing fuel system cleaning products and distributing automotive maintenance and repair products in the US midwest.  Purus Fuel Technologies has a facility in Peru, Illinois that employs 4 and plans call for initially employing five to begin production in the Sault hopefully by the new year.  The initial setup is at the EDC’s business incubator and Irwin says the first aim is to establish relationships with independent distributors across the country once the office is up and running…

Irwin is working with the Sault Economic Development Corporation to identify potential sites for the assembly operation.  He talks about the benefits of establishing a base here in the Sault…

There’s the expectation that employment would increase from the initial five to 18 to 24 within 3-years as the product line expands beyond the new fuel cleaning machine known as IC-2 System—there will also be an effort to develop realtionships with the Sault College automotive technician apprenticeship program.
