news-Wynne  Premier Kathleen Wynne didn’t come empty handed during her visit to the Sault yesterday.  The Premier announced at Northern Heights Public School which is currently undergoing a major refurbishment,  that the four district school boards serving the Sault region will receive more than 62-million dollars over two years—-nearly 25-million more than originally budgeted. The government is providing a total of 300-million dollars over the next two years to repair and renew schools in northern Ontario—–that’s an increase of 120-million.    The funding is earmarked for repairing roofs, updating heating and air conditioning and modernizing electrical and plumbing systems.
The province says the money will also pay for improvements to walls, flooring, ceilings and playing fields.
Premier Wynne will continue her northern tour with stops today at Batchewana Bay and Wawa.
