If you attended Galaxy Cinemas on March 25th or 26th and used your credit card for payment, city police are recommending you check your bank statements and report any suspicious activity to your financial institution immediately. Management at Galaxy Cinema in Station Mall were asked to check their pin pads for possible tampering after reports surfaced of suspicious activity in other cities.  On March 26th, management of the local theatre inspected their pin pads and found what appeared to be two skimming devices.  The skimmers were removed.  A skimmer is used by fraudsters to read credit and debit card numbers as well as pin numbers.  If you did use those machines on those dates and there is no suspicious activity on your statement, it is recommended that you contact your bank and have your card number and or Pin number changed.  The Sault Police service Fraud unit is continuing its investigation.
