CitySSMThe municipal by-election to elect a City Councillor for Ward 2 will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2016. ‘You Vote At’ cards were mailed to residents in early January. To be eligible to vote, you must be at least 18 years of age; a Canadian citizen; and a resident in Ward 2, or a non-resident owner/tenant or spouse of an owner/tenant of land in the municipality.

Voting by Proxy

Any qualified elector may appoint another person who is a qualified elector in the same municipality to vote on his/her behalf. Proxy forms are available at the City Clerk’s office – 99 Foster Drive, but will only be certified until 4:30 p.m. on Voting Day.

Identification

Provincial law requires that voters provide identification showing their name, qualifying address as shown on the Voters List, and signature in order to receive a ballot. Your ‘You Vote At’ card is not an acceptable form of identification.

Tools to assist individuals with visual impairments will be available at all voting stations.
